In case you didn’t get your fill in August, bare knuckle is back with a buffet of must-see action.
August had a little bit of everything in the bare knuckle world. From the spectacle that was BKFC 63 in Sturgis, South Dakota, to an all-time clash at BYB 30 between LT Nelson and Barrie Jones, and SIX events in total, bare knuckle has a tough act to follow as we move into September. But while the quantity might not be there with only three events on the docket, the quality is all the same. Here is the bare knuckle schedule for September.
First up is tonight's event; BKFC 65, where in the main event, the greatest female bare knuckler of all-time Christine Ferea (8-1) puts her BKFC Flyweight gold on the line against possibly her toughest challenger to date in the form of number one contender Jade Masson-Wong (3-1). This, just like Britain Hart vs. Taylor Starling at BKFC 63, is one of the most highly anticipated fights in the entire sport. And as far as Bare Knuckle Nation is concerned, this is pound for pound Number 1 vs. Number 3.
Also in the co-main event Jeremy Stephens (1-0) might have just had more pressure put on him in trying to secure his second win in BKFC because recently Conor McGregor called him out for a fight. With everyone and anyone wanting a shot at the UFC Superstar, Stephens will still need to impress. He doesn’t have it easy either as he’s taking on the much more experienced Bobby Taylor (6-2).

Next weekend, September 13th, it’s BKFC taking centre stage again with BKFC 66. In the main event, the newly crowned bantamweight champion Alberto Blas (5-0) makes the first defense of his gold against the fellow undefeated top contender Ryan Reber (6-0). Both of these guys are on our pound for pound honourable mentions.
Other notables on this card include former title challenger Howard Davis (6-2-1) vs. undefeated James Brown (3-0), unbeaten Leonardo Perdomo (4-0), and young up-and-comer Justin Ibarrola (4-0).

Finally, on September 21st, BYB caps off the month in style with two world title fights! Headlining BYB 31 will be the much anticipated rematch between Julio Tanori (3-0) and Mark Irwin (3-1) for the lightweight strap. In their first meeting, Tanori scored the win to take the title away from Irwin, in a clash that was well deserving of its Fight of the Year honours.

In the co-main event, it’ll be the lightweight champion Paty Juarez (5-1) going up to super lightweight to try and become a two-division titleist against Khortni Kamyron (1-1-1). Juarez is also our pound for pound number 5.
Bare knuckle fans are spoiled right now. Enjoy the fights!
