JULY POUND FOR POUND RANKINGS

A few big names shift on this month's rankings.

Kai Stewart celebrates a win at BKFC 62

With a new month rolling in, Bare Knuckle Nation has updated its pound for pound rankings. The biggest move on the men's side was the removal of former BKFC two division champion Lorenzo Hunt due to his suspension by the CSAC following a failed drug test around KnuckleMania IV. That caused everyone to move up the list by one spot. There was one exception though which was David Mundell, who was leapfrogged by recently victorious BKFC Featherweight Champion Kai Stewart who now claims the third spot.

With an empty spot on the list left by Hunt, that brings in last month’s honorable mention BYB two division champion LT Nelson at the 10 spot. This move also comes on the heels of the announcement of his bout with the legendary Barrie Jones. A win over Jones would see him skyrocket up the list and for Jones, a win could see him reclaim his spot among the elite of the bare knuckle game.

There was no movement on the women’s side with none of the top 10 competing during the month. Although honorable mention Christine Vicens stopped Melanie Shah after just one round at BKFC 62, that was her first appearance in 18 months.

Other notes, Po Denman is reaching the end of her inactivity allowance and risks losing her spot on the list if a bout is not announced by the end of July. Other ranked members such as Britain Hart, Taylor Starling, Helen Peralta, and Paty Juarez all have fights booked, and will be sure to keep our ranking lively as we progress through the summer.
