BKFC 62: BK NATION PREDICTIONS

A “Triple Main Event” and BK Nation has the crystal ball.

On June 21st in Hollywood Florida, USA, one of the best cards in bare knuckle history, BKFC 62, will take place. Three different title fights are set and BK Nation is going to put our imperfect record on the line and try to predict each one!

Kai Stewart (c) vs Bryan Duran - BKFC Featherweight Title Fight

Our main event will see BKFC’s youngest champion Kai Stewart (5-0, 2 KO’s) defend his title against one of the fastest rising stars in bare knuckle Bryan Duran (6-0, 6 KO’s). Stewart is one of the most talented bare knucklers out there, his high work rate and expert clinch work makes him a relentless wave of pressure that no one to this point has solved.

But across the squared circle will stand what Adam Hunt calls a “Tornado of Torture”. Duran has faced six men in BKFC and has knocked all of them out. And the craziest part is he had no prior fight experience! His first sanctioned punch was thrown in a BKFC squared circle. It’s been trial by fire ever since as he's continued to knock people out all the way to earning a title shot.

It’s pressure vs power for the BKFC Featherweight championship!

Keith Richardson (c) vs. Alberto Blas - BKFC Bantamweight Title Fight

Keith Richardson (4-0, 3 KO’s) is coming off the best year in company history, making his debut in January of 2023, and within 10 months had BKFC gold wrapped around his waist. Going 4-0 with three KO’s in that stretch leaves him plenty of experience to draw from when he defends his title for the first time against the challenger Alberto Blas (4-0, 4 KO’s)

Similar to his fellow countryman Duran, the Cuban Blas has ran through everyone leaving a trail of first round finishes with an average time of 58 seconds. Yes, 58 seconds. We don’t have a lot to go off of for Blas, but maybe what we’ve seen is enough. He hits you and you fall down.

While Richardson has shown to be unbreakable both in the ring and out of it, Blas has shown to be unstoppable. BKFC gold is on the line!

Jomi Escoboza vs Jared Warren - Vacant Light Heavyweight Title Fight

A rematch nearly two years in the making, rounds out this “Triple Main Event” when Jomi Escoboza (9-1, 5 KO’s) faces Jared Warren (6-2, 5 KO’s) for the vacant title. Escoboza has tasted gold before, winning a title with BYB Extreme but this is Warren’s first championship opportunity after more than four years in the gloveless game.

While rematches are usually reason enough for a good scrap, the added bonus of the world championship will add even more fuel to the fire!
