BKFC star suspended 18 months for PED positive test.
In a story that has kind of flown under the bare knuckle worlds radar, former BKFC two division and current cruiserweight champion Lorenzo Hunt initially faced up to a nine month suspension for a failed drug test around his fight at KnuckleMania IV. The banned substances include Trenbolone and an elevated testosterone/epitestosterone ratio of 172.

After an appeal requested by Hunt himself in response to the CSAC initial notice, he failed to appear before the commission. And without being present, he received an 18-month suspension retroactive to his fight in April of 2024, meaning at the earliest he will return in October 2025. The punishment also carries a fine of $40,000 (40% of his KM IV purse). Reported by Damon Martin at MMAFighting.com.
Hunt did make a statement yesterday following the story being brought to more light. Attached below.

While he is yet to comment on the actual suspension, he remains steadfast that he is innocent and did not take the banned substances.
More to come.
