BKFC FIGHT NIGHT MIAMI RECAP

Here’s everything you need to know about BKFC’s latest show in the Sunshine State.

From the tundra of Edmonton Alberta to the pristine beaches of Florida, BKFC was back in action on March 15th, with Fight Night Miami.

A card filled with local talent eager to make an impact was highlighted by Julio Perez (1-0, 1 KO), who started the night out with a KO of Kory Moegenburg (0-1) in 30 seconds flat. This was followed by an early candidate for round of the year between bantamweights Dameko Labon (2-0, 2 KO’s) and Jorge Bargallo (0-1). Labon got dropped just six seconds in, but bounded right back with a couple of knockdowns of his own, stopping Bargallo and winning the match less than a minute and 40 seconds after the opening bell.

Following a unanimous decision win for Wayna Reid (1-1) over Jim Pulgar (0-1), the pace quickened back up with the next three bouts ending with first-round stoppages. Miami native Eduardo Conception (2-1, 2 KO’s) bulldozed Alvin Davis (0-1) in just 94 seconds, then Rohan Prado (1-0, 1 KO) needed 31 seconds to win his debut against Raymond Bell (1-1). Not to be outdone, Markus Suarez (1-1, 1 KO) followed this up with a 28-second bludgeoning of Marcus Williamson (0-1).

Brandon Meyer (2-1, 1 KO) earned a unanimous decision over Joshuah Alvarez (4-4, 3 KO’s), before the co-main event, where Rosa Rodriguez (2-0, 1 KO) remained unbeaten in BKFC. Beating Monica Franco (1-1) by doctor's stoppage after the third round, the 13-0 pro-boxer established herself as a true contender in the women’s flyweight division.

Finally, former world title challenger, Howard Davis (6-2-1, 5 KO’s), took on Sean Wilson (3-2, 1 KO) in the night’s main event. Wilson dealt some serious damage in the first round, leaving a cut above Davis’ eye, but “HD” struck back in the second. He exploded with a flurry of punches, scoring two knockdowns before the ref ended the bout. To see who won each bout, the full results are right below.
