Almost exactly one year to the date, BKFC makes its return to Omaha.

On Friday May 17th, BKFC is back in Omaha Nebraska. The main event will see the return of Carlos Trinidad-Snake (4-0, 2 KO’s). After nearly a year outside the squared circle, the second ranked welterweight will put his 4-0 record on the line against Dustin Pague (3-1, 2 KO’s).
Last time out for Trinidad-Snake, he took a win over former champion Elvin Brito (6-4, 2 KO’s). “Uzumaki” has struggled to stay active, fighting just twice in 2022 and once in 2023, but that hasn’t affected his performance, considering he’s taking out guys like Rynell Riley (2-2, 1 KO) and the aforementioned Brito.
Pague on the other hand, made two appearances last year; a KO win over Wade Johnson (1-1, 1 KO) and a decision over Joe Elmore (2-3, 1 KO). Pague also finds himself in the Top 5 at welterweight and with no word on the rematch between the champ Austin Trout and Luis Palomino, this fight could be looked at as a number one contender’s bout.
In the co-main event is Number 5 ranked middleweight Dakota Cochrane (5-2, 4 KO’s) who is also making his return after just under a year in the ring. Cochrane has had a successful run in BKFC, but a title shot still eludes him. Sitting at 5-2 with four knockouts, if he can add to his two-fight stoppage streak and keep active in 2024 that shot could be in his future.
His opponent (Jeremie Holloway 1-0-1) had a draw in his debut against tough-out Will Santiago (2-0-1). But he followed that up two months later with a decision win over Cameron VanCamp (1-1, 1 KO). He’s been active recently and is by no means a pushover for Cochrane’s return.
Alonzo Martinez (3-0, 2 KO’s) will put his undefeated record on the line against Stanislav Grosu (3-3, 3 KO’s) who has finished all his wins inside the distance. Corey Roberts (1-0, 1 KO) will face Tommy Strydom (2-0, 2 KO’s) in a bout that is sure to end before the final bell since both men have finished every fight they had in BKFC.
With plenty of hometown fighters making their return to the ring this crowd is sure to be lively, and with high stakes on the bouts at the top of the card, this one is sure to deliver. Here’s the full bout order below.
