Here’s all you need to know from the BKFC Prospect Series down in New Mexico.
In front of a sold-out crowd in Albuquerque, New Mexico, BKFC put on an excellent showcase of some up-and-coming talent. Kaine Tomlinson Jr (1-0, 1 KO), made a strong impression in his debut, stopping New Mexico native, Apostle Spencer (0-1) just 33 seconds into the bout. Albuquerque natives Felipe Chavez (1-0, 1 KO), Karla Alvarez (1-0 1 KO), and Juan Adams (1-0 1 KO) gave the hometown crowd something to cheer for though, as they all recorded KO victories.
Eric Dodson (3-1, 3 KO’s), brother of flyweight champion John Dodson, picked up a big first-round KO over Dakota Highpine (1-3) in the most one-sided bout of the evening. In the co-main event, Taylor Starling (4-2, 1 KO’s) took home the only decision of the evening, beating former world title challenger, Jenny “Savage” Clausius (3-3, 2 KO’s). This also avenged Starling's MMA loss at the hands of Clausius in 2019.
The main event saw hometown fighter Donald Sanchez (2-1, 1 KO) send the crowd into a frenzy when he dropped Noah Cutter (2-7, 2 KO’s) bringing the bout to a close in just 35 seconds.
