Despite being a prospect event, this show was filled with talent, and produced some excellent matches.
On February 16th, BKFC went to Virginia, for Prospect Series Manassas. Nathan Rivera (2-0, 2 KO’s) remained undefeated in BKFC, sending Dustin Garrett (0-1) to the mat less than 90 seconds into the bout. Fourth-ranked featherweight, James Brown (3-0, 2 KO’s) also remained unbeaten after his bout with Bovar Khanakov (4-3) was stopped by the doctors following the third round.
Murat Kilimetov (1-0, 1 KO) dominated in his BKFC debut, dropping Tre Cook (0-1) four times before ending the bout just nine seconds into the second round. The co-main event saw UFC veteran, Cameron VanCamp (1-1, 1 KO), have a very even opening round against Micah Terril (0-1), before knocking him out clean just 25 seconds into the second to secure his first BKFC victory.
To close the night out, Stanislav Grosu (3-3, 3 KO’s) and Brandon Shavers (2-1, 2 KO’s) put on an absolute barnburner, putting a cherry on top of an event that saw all but one fight end in a stoppage. Shavers got knocked down in the second round, but bounced back, landing two knockdowns of his own in the fourth round to earn the stoppage. To find out who won each bout, check right below here.
