On Tuesday June 11th, it was announced that BKFC Strawweight champion Britain Hart (8-3, 2 KO’s) will defend her title against Taylor Starling (4-2, 1 KO), August 3rd in Sturgis, South Dakota, USA.

The bout will be the long awaited return for Hart who has been out of action since defeating Melanie Shah in September of 2023. The win marked the second defence of her title and kept her undefeated since the creation of the strawweight division. The win was a continuation of the hot-streak the champ finds herself on, going 8-1 since 2020, with that loss coming at the hands of Christine Ferea but at 125-lbs. Always exciting, the former pro boxer will be sure to keep the fans entertained both in the lead up to the bout and of course when the bell rings.

Starling burst onto the scene in 2021 and collected three wins in just 10 months, eventually earning a shot at flyweight champion Ferea. She would come up short in that bout, but since then, has gone 1-1. A decision loss to flyweights number one contender Jade Masson-Wong, prodded a move to 115-lbs. where she earned a victory over the always tough Jenny “Savage”, reminding everyone of her elite status.

Both have been calling for this bout for some time including a few exchanges on social media, but both seem overjoyed to finally get the fight announced taking to BKFC’s comment section on the release.

Hart said, “Yo - I’m so freaking excited to be BACK - yall gave me too much time so I leveled up x5 from last fight - can’t wait for this new version AND really the fans win big time with this - the home grown fight we all have been waiting for ….🔥🔥🔥🔥 time to smoke 💨”

While Starling stated, “🔥🙌 REDEMPTION TIME !! Ready to sting 🐝”

Hart’s day on social media wasn’t done there, posting a short video of her holding a can of “Wasp and Hornet Killer” poking fun at Starlings nickname of  “Killa Bee”.
