BYB 28 & BKFC FN PECHANGA: PREDICTIONS

A stacked weekend of fights gets some extra attention from BK Nation.

Two different events this weekend means it's time for the BK Nation staff to look into its crystal ball and make some predictions!

On Friday, BKFC is in Temecula, California, for BKFC Fight Night Pechanga. Robbie Peralta (3-1) and Ruben Warr (1-1, 1 KO) will square off in the main event.

On one side we have Robbie “Problems” Peralta (3-1), a former UFC fighter with experience in Bellator and Strikeforce as well. He is looking to get back in the win column after suffering his first bare knuckle defeat earlier this year at the hands of Bryce Henry. “Problems” started off his bare knuckle tenure with three straight wins taking a calculated approach in bare knuckle with all three wins coming by decision.

Across the squared circle stands Ruben “Bad Boy” Warr (1-1, 1 KO) who had an emphatic debut back in March of 2024, stopping Lorenzo Coca in the first round. Warr carries explosive power in his hands evident by his debut knockout and the war (no pun intended) with Angelcor at KM 4. Both men will be eager to put on a show and get their careers back on track and work towards a shot at the lightweight title.

Saturday will see us change venues from California to Louisiana for BYB 28 Bourbon Street Brawl.

We will see the first of the BKB roster make their walk to the ring under the new BYB banner when James Connelly (5-5-1) and Mark Tiffin (3-1, 3 KO) face off in a highly anticipated match. This is the third different opponent Connelly has prepared for in this fight camp but fingers crossed nothing happens between now and then.

Connelly has a very boxing heavy approach, a great jab, good footwork and head movement. Pay no attention to his record Connelly has faced the who’s who in bare knuckle including all time great Jimmy Sweeney and current BYB Double Champ LT Nelson. Tiffin has stopped his opponent in all of his wins so carries obvious power in his hands, the short notice nature of the bout could make him more aggressive in the beginning looking to find a home for his powerful offence, Tiffin could jump on him early and cause all kinds of problems.

Cole Whiston: Connelly KO

Adam Hunt: Connelly DEC

Corey Erdman: Connelly KO

Two of the toughest women in bare knuckle will co-main Saturday’s action when Monica Medina (2-2) looks to move on from her trilogy with Paty Juarez and face off with Helen Peralta (2-0-1 NC, 1 KO), the only woman to ever defeat BKFC Women’s GOAT Christine Ferea

Peralta has been inactive with just one bare knuckle fight coming since 2019 but Medina has spent 75% of her bare knuckle career preparing for just one opponent meaning there are so many unknowns going into this one, but one thing’s for sure, we’re in for a fight!

The main event of the evening will see the BYB Heavyweight champion Ike VIllanueva (3-0, 3 KO’s) put the strap on the line against the undefeated Gustavo Trujillo (5-0, 5 KO’s)

Despite having five fights to his name there are still a lot of unknowns around Trujillo with all of his fights ending in the first round. Villanueva has gone into the fire when he took the belt off of DJ Linderman in an absolute war back in February. While there are unknowns around Trujillo he sure can hit hard but will his power stack up to someone with the experience and the chin of the champ? Only one way to find out, in the main event of BYB 28!
