After we wrote about a possible 125-lb. Interim title fight, Ferea & Masson-Wong took to our Instagram and made it known they want each other next.

On Sunday, Adam Hunt from Bare Knuckle Nation wrote about the flyweight champion Christine Ferea (8-1, 6 KO's) and her belt situation. She was originally scheduled to fight Heather Hardy on May 11th, but not for her belt, as the bout was set to take place at 135. The contest has been postponed due to an alleged Hardy injury. As of right now, there has been no rescheduled date.
That means the flyweight title is still not being defended and if the Hardy vs. Ferea match does get rescheduled, then that extends the lack of defending. That’s why Adam stirred up the idea of a possible interim title fight while we wait on Ferea. His options included a fight between the number one contender Jade Masson-Wong (3-1, 2 KO's) vs. either one of Christine Vicens (2-0, 1 KO) or Rosalinda Rodriguez (2-0, 1 KO).

Out of pure speculation, does this mean they are in negotiations? Does it mean the Hardy fight is off? We don’t know. But what is confirmed is this increases the intrigue on this matchup! And we want it next!
