With BYB’s acquisition of BKB, it opens the door to all sorts of fun matchmaking.
BYB and BKB have worked together before collaborating on a number of cards, but now, BYB has officially acquired BKB. And just like the PFL vs Bellator card after their merger, it makes perfect sense to form a few dream matches for an ultimate showdown between the two rosters.

Jimmy Sweeney (BKB) vs Cub Hawkins (BYB)
It’s old school vs. new school in this one. Jimmy Sweeney is possibly the most experienced bare knuckler in the modern era, while Cub Hawkins has burst onto the scene going 5-0 in BYB with five stoppages. Hawkins is the 175-lb. champion of BYB, while Sweeney’s last fight was at 180-lbs. It will take some figuring out to get the weights right but knowing Sweeney he will be game for anything. This fight should headline any card it touches because it would be fireworks.

LT Nelson (BYB) vs Scott McHugh (BKB)
LT Nelson is now a two division champion in BYB after his win over Tommy Turner at BYB 26. But according to him, he still isn’t at the right weight, when talking to Cole Whiston of BK Nation in the lead up, he has every intention of dropping down even further to 155. That is where McHugh currently holds the BKB championship. For McHugh, a title shot with the new company should be motivation enough, but he could get some revenge of his own with his last loss coming at the hands of Desmond Green, a BYB champion at the time. Double Champ vs Champ, the story writes itself and it's got to go down in the Trigon.

Richie Leak (BKB) vs Gustavo Trujillo (BYB)
Richie Leak looks exactly how a bare knuckle heavyweight champion should look, but it's not all show, this guy is as tough as nails. Every time he steps into the ring it's a war, taking damage and returning more. But this matchup would be the ultimate test for his chin. Gustavo Trujillo is a giant, whose record stands at five fights, five knockouts, all in the first round. It's the unstoppable force vs the immovable object and regardless of how Trujillo vs Villanueva plays out, this fight needs to happen.
