One simple post leads to all kinds of speculation.

On June 3rd, BKFC’s Instagram put out a picture with one simple task. Call out one fighter. While there were endless callouts in the comment section, Mike Perry made his wants known with his response.
“Dmitry Bivol, Caleb Plant, David Benavidez, Artur Beterbiev, Ryan Garcia, Gervonta “Tank” Davis, Jon Jones, Conor McGregor. I train hard and no matter how tough the opponent I can impress! I only want to fight the best and prove my determination!”
BKFC’s biggest star made it clear that he will fight ANYONE, even his own boss! While it's extremely unlikely, some (me) would say it's impossible that any of these matchups happen.
Fighters call out fighters from other sports all the time, what's the story here?
The puzzling point is that of the eight names he listed not a single one of them are on the BKFC roster. Who is he going to fight next?
It's no secret that Perry is the biggest box office draw in the company. But part of that is because he is always in an exciting match up, from the very beginning with bare knuckle veteran Julian Lane all the way through to Eddie Alvarez.
His most recent bout against Thiago Alves is probably his lowest profile opponent since his debut with Lane but the grandeur of KnuckleMania more than made up for that. And after Perry won via TKO just 40 seconds into the bout, fans’ immediate thoughts were what's next?
It seems as though he has his target set on someone outside the company, so keep your eye out for big fish free agents like Anthony Pettis, Darren Till and Robbie Lawler.
But while anyone on the BKFC roster would drop everything to fight with the King of Violence, there are two options that might just carry the star power necessary to keep up with BKFC’s poster child. Middleweight Champion David Mundell and Welterweight Champion Austin Trout.
Both made their presence known on BKFC’s instagram post with Mundell commenting:
“Mike Perry your time is coming princess”
Mundell has long been calling out Perry, looking for revenge after losing to him twice in MMA. Now holding the championship in Perry’s weight class, there’s no reason this can’t happen next.
Austin Trout however was a little less direct, saying.
“Right now I’m focused on Luis Palomino. But after I knock him all the way out, who's the pound for pound king? Mike Perry???? Run that s**t!”
That certainly lifts the curtain as to what the new 165-lb. champ is doing next, and it's nice to know he doesn’t rule out a potential run at the KOV.
While any and all conclusions taken from this comment section and our accompanying article should be treated as pure speculation, at least for right now, It’s always fun to speculate about what's next, or what could happen!
